Featuring internationally renowned animators alongside promising newcomers, the TRICKY WOMEN/TRICKY REALITIES international competition also is a gauge of global trends and tendencies in animated filmmaking by women. In the first section of the competition, protagonists recall the joys, pains and wonders of life, puberty puts the friendship of two young girls to the test, and young women dreaming of ‘elsewhere’ are constantly confronted with their own limitations.
