Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem

The Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design was established in 1906. Today, Bezalel is an internationally renowned Academy of Arts and Design, with 1800 students and 400 lecturers in its 10 departments.

Animation studies were first introduced in 1971, following the establishment of Israel's first TV stations.

The goal of Bezalel’s animation programme is to bring together today’s technological development and the animators’ artistic level and creative skills. Animation is a full four-year programme, with two years of introductory courses covering the fundamentals followed by two years of specialization.
